What is sourdough?
Sourdough bread offers several health benefits over regular bread. Firstly, it’s easier to digest due to its longer fermentation process, which breaks down gluten..This can be gentler on the stomach, and making it a better option for those with gluten sensitivity.

Additionally, sourdough has a lower glycemic index, which means it doesn’t cause rapid spikes in blood sugar levels. This can help with better blood sugar control and reduce the risk of diabetes.

Sourdough also boasts higher levels of certain nutrients like B vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, thanks to the fermentation process. Plus, it contains prebiotics that support a healthy gut microbiome, which is crucial for overall well-being.

In summary, sourdough’s unique fermentation process, improved digestibility, lower impact on blood sugar, and increased nutrient content make it a healthier choice compared to regular bread. And it’s packed with flavor!
